Data Deletion
How Meta and Instagram users can request deletion of data processed by DmBot.
Effective date: July 6, 2026 · Application: https://staging.dmbot.co · Marketing site: https://dmbot.co
Meta data-deletion callback
When a person removes DmBot from their Instagram account or submits a data deletion request through Meta, Meta sends a signed request to our data deletion callback endpoint. We register the request, process deletion of Instagram-linked data for the identified Instagram user, and return:
- a public status URL, and
- an opaque confirmation code.
Status page
You can check request status at:
https://staging.dmbot.co/data-deletion/status/<confirmation_code>
The confirmation code does not contain internal database identifiers or Instagram account identifiers.
What we delete
For a validated Meta data-deletion request, DmBot deletes Instagram connection records and cascaded data linked to that Instagram user, including automations, contacts, comment-reply records, and dispatch records tied to the deleted Instagram account.
We may retain limited compliance records about the deletion request itself and non-Instagram workspace account information unless you also request deletion of your DmBot login separately.
Disconnecting in the app
You can disconnect Instagram at any time from the Integrations page. Disconnecting removes stored access tokens and pauses active automations for that account, but it is not a substitute for Meta's formal data-deletion callback when Meta initiates deletion.
